Extreme Outdoor began as a small counter selling camping gear to people heading for the Serra do Mar, and it still works the same way: we ask where you are going before we show you anything.
Half of what we do is talking customers out of the wrong purchase. A four-season tent is wasted weight on a summer trail, and a sixty-litre pack tempts you to fill it. We would rather sell you less and see you come back.
Everything load-bearing we sell carries its standard marking, its rated strength and its retirement date, and we hand that over in writing. Climbing hardware is life-safety equipment, and we treat it that way.
